Kristen and Matt – Wedding at Rogue Hop Farm in Independence, OR
Kristen and Matt were married on a bright and sunny day in Independence, OR at the Rogue Hop Farms. If you haven’t had a chance to check this place out, you should definitely go! They have a tasting room open to the public, as well as a lovely venue for weddings.
Kristen looked absolutely gorgeous in a dress that had some custom additions by a close family friend, and her bouquet with mixed flowers (and that beautiful sunflower) and the mixed wild flowers in the mason jars on each table was a perfect compliment to the summery feel of the day.
I loved the chandelier that they hung from the trees during the ceremony, and the ice cream sundae bar that they had in lieu of a traditional cake (perfect for a warm day!).
Some of my favorite pictures happened just before sunset when we were able to sneak away and pose a bit in between the rows of hops, they made a really striking background for a really sweet and wonderful couple!

Chrys and Nate – Hotel DeLuxe Wedding – Portland Oregon
I’ve been meaning to post pictures from Chrys and Nate’s wedding for almost four months, so please pardon the extreme tardiness (there are a few more weddings that I should be blogging about in the next couple months). Nate and Chrys were married at the Hotel Deluxe in downtown Portland in March. The luxurious vintage details of the Hotel Deluxe made for the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony and reception, I loved the lush drapes in the Screening Room where they were married, and the vintage-looking chandeliers, and the gentle Alice in Wonderland theme of their wedding could be found in little details throughout the day.
I loved Chrys’ vintage silver dress, and her blue high heels added a wonderful burst of color. They had friends play guitar and sing as they walked down the aisle, and Chrys’ sister officiated the wedding (and included an aptly placed quote from the Princess Bride).  The friendly dog you’ll see in a few pictures walked the rings down the aisle (and was a great sport!).
After the ceremony, guests gathered in the gorgeous lobby for a few signature cocktails while I stole the couple for a few minutes to take some pictures around downtown, then everyone gathered in the Screening Room for dinner, ice cream from Salt N Straw, and lots of dancing (but not before a series of very touching, and a few hilarious, toasts).
Since Nate and Chrys are friends of mine, it was especially meaningful for me to get to be a part of their wedding day. A few of my favorite pictures are below.

Jesikah and Jon – Wedding at Alderbrook Park, Brush Prairie, Washington
Jesikah and Jon got married on their anniversary at the beautiful Alderbrook Park in Washington. The deep reds of Jesikah’s bridal bouquet and the rich black of the bridesmaids’ dresses were a wonderful compliment to the lush green of the wedding site near the lake at Alderbrook. The wedding had a subtle Snow White theme (notice the rich color scheme and the apples), which really fit in with the surrounding scenery (the little cottage seemed right out of a fairy tale). The sky threatened to rain all day, but the clouds cleared up momentarily for the ceremony (we even saw a bit of sun), and even though it rained a bit during the family photos and the portraits, Jesikah and Jon were great sports about it (and I thought it had a wonderfully romantic feel about it), you can even see the tiny specks of rain in some of the portraits. The rain also gave me a great chance to see how very loving this group was, Jon was always willing to hold an umbrella, lend his jacket, or let Jesikah sit on his lap to keep her out of the rain as much as possible, and Jesikah was always checking to make sure everyone else (including her very sweet daughter) was warm and comfortable during the day. One of the groomsmen even made a makeshift rain cover for the littler kids using a tablecloth (which they thought was lots of fun to hide under and peek out of). A few of my favorite photos below are the pictures of Jon with Jesikah’s daughter walking up the aisle to give him a hug and kiss, and the photo of Jesikah taking a quick break from the rain during our portraits by sitting on Jon’s lap, the picture of the little ones hiding from the rain, and the close up of Jesikah’s bouquet, where you can see the lovely rain drops.
Sarah and Kevin – Hood River Wedding – Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast
Sarah and Kevin got married at Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast in Hood River, Oregon. This wedding was full of wonderful personal touches, the home made jam, the ring bearer (their dog!), the hand-made bouquets made by the family and friends the morning of the wedding, it was such a beautiful and unique day to get to be a part of. The pear orchards provided just enough shade during the ceremony, and made for some wonderful photo opportunities later on. The food, from Rip City Grill, was just wonderful, and the cupcakes (hand made by family members) were delicious!
Christi and Patrick’s Wedding – Leach Botanical Garden Portland
Christi and Patrick got married this weekend at the beautiful Leach Botanical Garden in Portland, OR. Christi and Patrick are from Hawaii, so I actually didn’t get a chance to meet them in person until their wedding day, as soon as I met them I knew I’d be in for a great day – both were so calm and happy and the wedding went off without a hitch! I couldn’t have been happier to get to be a part of their celebration, what an absolutely lovely couple!

Yvonne and Josh – Overlook House Portland
Yvonne and Josh had a lovely reception at the Overlook House in North Portland. I had never realized what a great location this was for a wedding, plenty of space both outdoor and inside the venue. The reception was held on the back lawn and the weather could not have been better! Yvonne made lots of the decor herself, and the whole reception had a really beautiful and somewhat vintage look to it (see the vintage cake topper as well). There was even a nod to star trek in the candy bags that guests received as gifts. It was a wonderful, really intimate celebration and I was lucky to be there!
Hilary and Michael’s Portland Wedding – Trinity Episcopal and Rontoms
Had a great time photographing the wedding day of Hilary and Michael. The wedding took place at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, and the reception was at Rontoms. Hilary picked a beautiful shade of blue for the bridesmaid’s dresses that really complimented the yellow calla lilies in their flower arrangements. I loved the hand made flowers used to decorate the reception, and the day turned out to be mostly clear skies so the guests were able to make full use of the outdoor patio at rontoms.

Joanne and Garrett’s Wedding at Horning’s Hideout
It was such a lovely August day for Joanne and Garrett’s wedding at Horning’s Hideout near Portland, Oregon. Joanne looked absolutely stunning, and the venue could not have been a more perfect pick for these two. Dancing and celebrating went late into the night at their wedding site right near the lake, and lots of friends and family camped out at the wedding site after the ceremony. I was very impressed with all of the small details Joanne and Garrett put into their wedding, the beer, the decor, and Joanne even made all of the cupcakes herself (they were filled with a delicious custard, and I even got to take a few home with me, yum!). All in all, a very great day with a wonderful group of people.
Matt and Steph – Hood River Bed and Breakfast Wedding – Hood River Oregon
I was really lucky to get to be at Matt and Steph’s wedding this fourth of july weekend. The weather was perfect, we had a clear view of Mt. Hood during the ceremony, and the parasols at the venue were perfect to keep guests cool during the ceremony. Also, one of my favorite food carts catered the event, 808 grind, with delicious Hawaiian food. As the day turned into dusk, the light at Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast was just gorgeous. I was also lucky to witness my first ever wedding talent show, which turned out to be impressive, and funny, and magical, and really touching, it was a great way for their friends and family to showcase their skills and be a part of this special day.
